4. LV Control Module for PIXL X-Ray Head

The LV Control Module in combination with the x-ray head in the preceding picture represents the complete 30 kV high voltage system for the PIXL instrument. It is co-located on the arm and interfaces to the PIXL electronics unit in the body of the rover through a 10 meter flex cable that runs along the arm. The LVCM includes the high voltage oscillator plus circuitry for both powering the filament and achieving precision closed-loop emission control.
