12. SAM Pyrolysis-Temperature
Module flight model
PT module in flight-ready condition after completion of testing and
closeout. Unit contains more than 600
parts plus 8 magnetic assemblies. Provides 63 12-bit temperature sensor
channels for the SAM instrument plus twelve 36 watt drive channels (2
channels at a time with 14-bit precision) for pyrolyzer or precision
heater control. The two Pyrolyzer channels each have an associated 14-bit temperature sensing
capability via a 5.00000 mA current source and sense amplifier.
