46. R400 Watt Power Unit for a Miniaturized Hall Effect Thruster

This picture shows a 400 watt approximately 92 percent efficient (88 percent with the wrap-around control circuitry) full wave current mode doubler plus quadrupler power supply brassboard for a Hall effect thruster application. The unit provides the start-up controls, plus the anode and keeper power functions required for operating the thruster. The long term objective is to produce a flight quality power unit for less than 100K per copy as a complement to a low cost thruster.
