48. High Voltage Cable Noise and Breakdown Testing

High voltage cables used in Mars surface operations must be capable of operating in the Paschen region. Battel Engineering designed special shielded miniature cables with specially adapted Reynolds PeeWee connectors. These connectors were first developed for the SAM instrument on the Curiosity rover and have been adapted for use on both the ExoMars mission and the Mars 2020 mission. The cable in these pictures is for the MOMA instrument on ExoMars.
