58. An early version of the -100 kilovolt high voltage power supply prototype.
Note the “salad bowl” field control head in place of the torus in picture 13. The bowl worked well up to approximately -80 kV which allowed for an inexpensive early demonstration of the concept before moving up to the final shielded design configuration.
