199. SAM Thermo-Electric
Cooler Test Setup
The SAM “Sample Analysis at Mars” instrument suite is being developed at
the Goddard Space Flight Center for flight on the next Mars Rover “Mars
Science Laboratory”. Battel Engineering has the contract to develop the
analog electronics package for SAM in a way analogous to the TEGA
development effort performed for the University of Texas, Dallas. The
photo shown is the test setup for verifying Thermo-Electric Cooler (TEC)
drive options.
