118. Close-up of Tether High Voltage Drive Section
The high voltage drive portion of the tether system is shown in this
picture. It has bipolar output capability commandable in twelve 80 volts
output steps up to +/-1000 volts. Output current capability is up to 3
amps with a maximum total power delivered to the tether of up to 500
watts. Typical efficiency at voltages above 500 volts is in the in range
of 90%.
